What’s Bill been up to?

Some thoughts from abroad . . .

Last week I was Venice force feeding myself with culture, wine & spaghetti. I visited the Natural History Museum – mainly because it is housed in a beautiful 15th century canalside palace and it’s free. [Tip for cheapskate travellers – free entry museums are worth visiting for a loo stop – otherwise it’s £1.50]

In the museum there was a superb display around a dinosaur skeleton. A group of small children [all with obligatory clipboards] were totally enthralled by one of the museum education staff.

I thought of Rebecca, Jo and Claire working away with education groups in the Seco Hut at Geevor, with water dripping throught the roof and pencils slipping from the small frostbitten fingers of equally enthralled children: don’t seem fair, does it!
