Family Orienteering Day!

 Thursday 21 April 11am-3pm

Ever wanted to have a go at Orienteering? Then come along to this taster day at Geevor!

With the help of Cornwall Orienteering Club, an Orienteering trail will be set-up around the Geevor site to encourage people to have a go at this outdoor sport, that not only exercises the body but the brain as well! Available between 11am-3pm, starting from outside Geevor Reception. Free entry to participate in orienteering activities, but 50p per map is required.

This event is running in conjunction with the temporary exhibition, ‘Underground, Overground’ which is currently on display in Geevor’s Hard Rock Museum. This exhibition displays previously unseen plans from Geevor’s Archives, tells the fascinating stories behind the plans, how they were made, and also offers an interactive gallery trail to have a go at creating your own plan. For more information about this exhibition, see our Exhibitions page on our website. To visit Hard Rock Museum and gallery, site admission applies.
